Linux is a type of operating system that a computer can run of. It’s open source too. If you’ve used Linux before, what are your thoughts on it? Are you using this as your primary OS?

What are some of the good and bad features of using Linux in contrast to Windows 10?

windows applications are compatible, but they require a program called wine

i'd recommend using linux mint as a starting operating system, it's geared more towards beginners

Thank you to everyone for their helpful advice. It's a free operating system so I might as well give it a try on a spare machine lying around. What have I got to lose? I'll be sure to ask for further assistance if I get stuck along the way.
