Windows Package Manager

It seems windows has been working on the package manager similar to the Linux. And they have already started with the project called winget. You can check out the official blog post regarding this.

It seems like Windows 10 is getting stronger and better each year. You can check out the preview of how the package manager looks like in the image below.

This looks really cool. Currently I’ve been using Chocolatey (https://chocolatey.org/) but maybe there’s finally a replacement that’s built into Windows

Yes. The official repository and also something that will auto update with the Windows every 6 months is a good thing. I think in near future it would be reasonable to see how the package manager may be used to take care of a lot of dependencies which can avoid security risks.
